Sprinter / Marathon Runner

Ever notice the difference between a 100m sprinter and a marathon runner?  Both body types are the product of the way they train.  Today I see many in youth sports training like a marathon runner expecting sprinter results.  The body uses three main energy systems and the intensity and duration of the sport determines how and which one should be trained the most.
