Bodyweight Training First

You're heading to high school, here's a few tips.  Leave the weights alone and focus on bodyweight strength first.  Avoid max lifts when you do start pumping and know that as a beginner your body operates under different principles than the upper classmen.  On the playing field you will move in three different planes, train the way you move.And lastly think gradual improvements.  Nothing beats consistency and time.  http://www.brianmac.co.uk/articles/scni15a6.htm
