What are the keys to developing great athletes?  First, parents and coaches must recognize age appropriate training is a big one.  Early on kids should be running, jumping, throwing, catching, crawling and climbing.  Us old folk used to call this playing outside but in today's super structured youth sports world kids have missed out as they are "encouraged" to play one sport year around.
