Youth Sports Injuries

Parents did you know your daughters, depending on their sport, are 4-8 times more likely to tear their ACL's than the boys?  As the years have gone by we have learned a lot about why this injury is so common.  From knee structure and hormonal issues to landing mechanics and hip strength there are some things coaches can have an effect on and others they cannot.

With the majority of these injuries occurring during the deceleration or cutting phase of an athletic movement increasing hip strength and teaching landing mechanics can go a long way in reducing your daughters chances of having to face this injury.
